Summary
We are looking for a hotel director to run the entire hotel operation aboard our 3,600-passenger cruise ship on seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries out of Miami. You will carry overall responsibility for housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, retail and entertainment departments, reporting directly to the master on hotel matters and to the shoreside VP of Hotel Operations on revenue and guest satisfaction targets.
Contracts run seven months with paid leave between rotations; embarkation and disembarkation are both arranged through Miami. We expect a leader who can run a 300-person hotel department across a diverse international crew, hold department heads accountable to service standards, and manage a multi-million-dollar onboard revenue budget without daily oversight.
Responsibilities
- Overall leadership of housekeeping, F&B, guest services, retail and entertainment
- Hotel department budget and onboard revenue management
- Guest satisfaction score tracking and service recovery
- Department head performance management across a 300-person team
- Coordination with the master on muster and hotel safety drills
- Shoreside reporting on hotel KPIs each voyage
