Summary
••• is looking for a master for a 228 m LR2 product tanker trading across the Arabian Gulf, the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia. Rotation is 90 days on, 30 days off, and reliefs normally join by flight wherever the vessel calls next; the last handover was arranged in Fujairah.
You will hold full command responsibility for a crew of 24, keep the vessel's ISM/ISPS and TMSA files inspection-ready, and manage cargo operations across a busy loading and discharge schedule. We are looking for a candidate with a TR Master (Unlimited) certificate of competency, a tanker endorsement (STCW V/1-1), a current MLC medical certificate and GMDSS General Operator's Certificate, and at least twelve years of command or senior officer experience on tankers of comparable size.
Responsibilities
- Command, navigation and passage planning across Gulf and Indian Ocean routes
- Management of a 24-person multinational crew
- ISM/ISPS compliance and TMSA audit readiness
- Oversight of loading, discharge and cargo documentation
- Port state control and vetting inspection preparation
- Reporting to the technical management office in Singapore
